My name is Mario Yepez and I am a UX/UI, Visual, and Web Designer sharing residency between San Diego and Temecula, CA. Specializing in revitalizing brands online and using no-code solutions where possible. Benefiting from diverse experience in the fields of marketing, non-profits, start-ups, and even insurance. I implement my distinct skills set to design logos, websites, illustrations and marketing materials both print and digital. I have a current fascination in UX/UI and how the creativity of the field intersects with user psychology and experience.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz and a Certificate in Web Design from San Diego Mesa College with Honors. I have software experience in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Additional skills include Webflow, WordPress, and further customizing them with HTML and CSS. My design process involves mockups, prototypes, research, user testing, and final visual design of the product. My methods change depending on the project, but my most consistently favorite aspects involve team collaboration, visual ideation, user testing, and solving creative problems.

My other interests are film, music and macro photography. I am entranced and inspired by great visual storytelling and playing the guitar is my best (and cheapest) therapy. When not staring at screens, I love hiking in forests, shooting the most detailed photos possible, and getting lost in the green of nature.
